Data Tech International (DTI) was invited as participant to the workshop for the presentation of tax-technology solutions, that the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) and the National Superintendence of Tax Administration (SUNAT) are jointly organising. This presentation took place in Lima, Peru on February 5th and 6th, 2018.
The workshop is geared towards identifying a tax-technology solution for SUNAT that allows an adequate control and traceability of tax collection, and contributes to its increase.
Comparing Peru with some other LATAM jurisdictions there is a great chance for improvement in facilitating e-invoicing services by SUNAT and to add public-eye aspect, a QR code to validated invoices for easy checking with a cell phone app.
Latin American Countries have pioneered the use of electronic invoicing. Peru has introduced e-invoicing in 2010, however there is always room for improvement. DTI’s TaxCore has proven track record in overcoming some of the great challenges identified in LAC jurisdictions such as fake invoices, active supervision, automatic validations, data quality and additional service fees.
